An electrolytic unit is designed to recover metals such as silver, nickel, copper, gold, and cadmium from plating solutions. It is commonly employed in industrial wastewater treatment to remove heavy metals and to break down cyanide through oxidation and reduction reactions. The S-cell utilizes electrical current to reduce metal ions from the solution onto a cathode, effectively removing them from wastewater or plating solutions.
